“stories that insist on being reckoned”. Christina, this is so honest and true. I couldn’t love this piece more.

You are an amazing writer. Your experience right now is so salient to the conversations many of us are having regarding the role of the ecstatic in our lives. As someone who has grown up in that milieu, I have seen the abuse as well as the seeming encouragement that "words from God" can offer at certain times. I am also aware of the current climate of biblical extraction & interpretation centering around the "end times" prophetic passages that are taking on a sinister shadow & doing so in a highly political manner. Keep writing. Keep offering your concern & your honesty. They are rare in many charismatic circles. I for one feel alienated from much of the revivalism due to its acquiescence to extremism and quite frankly falsr teaching. I noticed on your Facebook It appears you know some of my friends.

YES.

I have always struggled to explain to fellow Christians the thing that unlocked inside my heart when I read Dune. Although the book is a total hippie jumble spiritually, and contains much I repudiate, it often saddens me that Herbert was perhaps closer than many Christians to the heart of prophetic knowledge when he explained that a prophet sees nexuses in the future, cleavages in reality that react to both his knowledge and actions as well as begin to bind him to their inevitability.

OF COURSE I thought to myself. After all, if God really is utterly omnipotent and outside of time, AND YET chooses to speak to human minds in this way...isn't that how it would be? Appreciate your vulnerability and tenacity in clinging to the God of prophecy.

The reason so many are unable to discern prophecy is because they are not gifted with the spiritual discernment necessary to properly interpret it. Just because you are gifted with prophesy does not mean that you will also be gifted with the discernment to understand that prophesy.

You asked, so I am going to give you an answer. I pray your heart has not been so hardened that you are incapable of hearing my words.

1. We live in the last days before Jesus Christ's second coming

2. The third temple is not a literal building it is the Holy Spirit. Jesus said he would destroy and rebuild the temple in 3 days. When he was resurrected, he built the third temple, the Holy Spirit.

3. Church leadership has so eroded and deviated from the original doctrine concerning the teaching of the Holy Spirit that it is no longer valid. Like our governments, our religious leaders replaced all teachings of the spirit with the idol of science and reason. Without the teachings and understanding of the Holy Spirit, the authority and blessings bestowed on us by Jesus work on the cross is negated. The doctrine is corroded back to the interpretation of the Pharisees who rejected and persecuted Jesus Christ. It is a return to the law given without love.

4. This return to the law given without love is the cause of the apostasy of the church. Men will have a form of Godliness, but deny the existence thereof. They worship God and Jesus Christ but deny the existence of the Holy Spirit.

5. The prophecy about the "abomination of desolation sitting in the holy place" being fulfilled before our eyes can be logically deduced if we combine statements 2, 3, and 4.

6. Welcome to the tribulation! Surprise!

7. Did you really think the end days elect tribes of the Lord Jesus Christ would be these pre-tribulation rapture pansies? No spiritual warlord worth their salt would degrade our Father's glory by showing fear or respect to the devil... Jesus neutered him really bad during his first coming. Reminding him of the triumph of the Lord Jesus Christ's victory brings our Father in Heaven great delight.

8. Jesus Christ is coming back! You are blessed to live in such a time! Rejoice and be glad!
